Recently I had the privilege of demonstrating a cap iron setup technique that I use to a handplane class at Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking. The technique is from this video. It was a fun afternoon and I think the class learned something, at least I hope they did.

While on the subject of hand planes my next article will be a review of Chris Schwarz’s latest video on buying and tuning hand planes.
